On January 11, 2015, Victoria Purser created a little study group on Facebook for a handful of individuals to support each other as they worked toward their HR certifications. After passing all of her exams with ease, she soon realized she had a gift for helping others study for their exams.

What started as a small study group morphed into something else entirely. Now, her Facebook group of over 15,000 HR veterans, students, and professionals not only exists to support each other on the path to certification, but as a forum for sharing day-to-day inquiries and HR wins. Between the celebration posts of the newly certified and questions about HR study resources, you’ll see comment after comment about “Victoria’s boot camp.”

In the past several years, Victoria has helped HR professionals obtain their certifications with her in-depth review of HR concepts, knowledge, and skills. In March of 2021, she officially took her boot camps to the next level and founded Conquer HR, LLC. “Victoria’s Boot Camp” has been formally branded ConquerHR™ Boot Camps for the next class of HR professionals.

Our Boot Camps

ConquerHR™ Boot Camps are ideal for those who have self-studied to prepare, taken a preparation course, taking the exam for the second time, or are otherwise familiar with the material and want the added advantage of a structured review that covers the must-know topics you will find on these exams. This course is intended to be used as an addition to your main HRCI® and/or SHRM® study resource.

If you’ve already studied until you feel you can’t learn any more, this class will give you the confidence and test-taking secrets to ensure you are as well-prepared as possible. You will be exhausted by the end of the day but walk away much better prepared to earn your pass

ConquerHR™ Boot Camps are an intensive and rigorous review focusing on the specific areas targeted by HRCI’s PHR and SPHR and SHRM’s CP and SCP certification examinations. These reviews take place in one day, with 8 hours of live class time delivered via webinar, and features competency clarification, situational judgement questions, review of key terms, concepts, theories, and models, and will explore valuable test-taking techniques and strategies. It is a combination of lecture, facilitated discussion, and exercises working through practice questions to contribute to exam readiness. This course will give you the confidence and test-taking strategies to ensure you are as well prepared as possible.

More Than A Boot Camp – It’s A Community!

While ConquerHR™ was created organically, yet its purpose, mission, and vision were established before it ever became a company. Victoria saw a need and created her first HR social learning and support group in 2013.

In 2014, Victoria decided it was time for something more structured and created the PHR/SPHR/SHRM Study Resource and HR Professional Forum exclusively for U.S.-based HR professionals. Her Study Resource and HR Professional Forum provides a safe place for HR certification exam prep learning, support and motivation; continuing education and professional development information and support; and crowdsourcing solutions to challenges HR professionals face on the job. With close to 14k members, our group is where HR professionals come together to provide one another support, network, and engage in conversations that assist with advancing the HR profession. ConquerHR’s group is chock full of great resources and discussions relative to preparing for HRCI’s  PHR® and SPHR® and SHRM’s SHRM-CP® and SHRM-SCP® certification exams. Victoria routinely drops exam prep knowledge, test-taking tips, flash quizzes, and shares information about the latest trends and news relative to the field of human resource and human capital management.

Creator of ConquerHR™ Boot Camps and founder and principal consultant of The SynergyHRM Consulting Group. Victoria has over 25 years’ HR leadership and management experience and serves as a consultant to organizations large and small, in creating innovative, practical, and sustainable HRM and HCM solutions tailored to meet their unique business needs. Her experience spans healthcare, manufacturing, nonprofit and public sector higher education, where she applies her extensive knowledge of and skill in organizational development, employee relations, performance management, training and development, recruiting and talent management, HR strategy and initiatives, change, and project management.

Victoria devotes a great deal of her free time to mentoring and engaging with HR pros and stays in continuous learning mode for her own professional development. Victoria continuously works to update and improve content and delivery of her programs and she customizes each class based on troublesome topics participants indicate during registration to give them greater advantage toward earning their pass. Her efforts to provide the best content possible to her students pays off – over the last few years, the overall pass rates for her students averages more than 90%!

With what’s left of her free time, she enjoys being captain or first mate on the emerald waters of NC’s Crystal Coast, photography, and spending time with her husband and four dogs. Victoria is passionate about HR, lifetime learning, family, friends, and boating, and is well-known for saying, “Love what you do; life shouldn’t be boring!”
